I dive recreational and technical

Dual104 heiser steel tanks
diverite transpac/classic wing
travel wing for south and singles
Dual D400/mark20 scubapro regs on manifold
Mark 2 R190 regs on stage bottles
80 cu foot alum. Deco Gas
CF200 dui dry suit!!!
Mares Quattro- upgrading to turtle fins with spring heel strap
Tusa liberator mask
(**** canned snorkel years ago!!) wear only with students
Nitek 3 computer diverite
1 Uwatec digital bottom timer
xerotech dry gloves ( It's frickin cold in the great lakes:D )

Going to break down and buy a Backplate and harness this year
Although Transpac has performed flawlessly for 3 years now!!:mean: . My system is fairly DIR except for transpac and some adaptations for winter and Great Lakes diving in Canada.. Some of that Cave **** don't cut it up here we wear gloves

Highly endorse breathing off the seven foot hose!!! Good for wreck witch primarily what we do up here would like to get cave certified.

So over the last couple of years my equipment configuation has changed drastically. Its amazing what a lot of experimenting and trying different setups can do, as well as never accepting that your gear is perfect.

Well, I can't really modify my gear any futher:

Dual PST 104's (had long before you all thought they were cool)
NO tank Boots
OMS twin Tank Band's
Diverite Isolation Manifold 200bar w/Sherwood rubber knobs

Reg's:

Primary: Scuba Pro Mk20/S600 on 7 ft yell hose w/2nd stage clip off of the right post of my doubles. BC Inflator running off the top of the first stage (MK20 is so versatile that it even has a lp port off the top of the reg)

2nd: Poseidon Jetstream Odin on short hosew/surgical tubing necklace around neck on left side of doubles. 1st stage Angled sideways hoses running straight down. Drysuit whip and Diverite Brass SPG w/o boot on a brass bolt snap tied w/o-ring

BC: Diverite recwing 53lb bladder w/Gusset control (not a problem like the OMS so DIR guys can chillout) I also have a Classic Wing from Diverite and an Explorer Wing from Halcyon. I prefer the Rec Wing. I've cut the ball off the dump

I use an Aluminum Diverite backplate for travel, and with dives where I don't need my Stainless steel Halcyon Plate and harness.

Some dives with smaller doubles I use a Transpac 2 with integrated weights (usually on Openwaters)

On the harnesses I have bicycle tubing that holds my Halcyon Scout lights in place with stainless bolt snaps tied to the light, and clipped to the d-ring.

I use a DUI CF200X Signature Series Drysuit with dual thigh pockets, Rock boots. The pockets house my cutting tools, backup slate, and spare mask (Tusa Splendive 4). I wear B400 DUI underwear or C400 Viking Underwear. The DUI is better, more comfortable, less bulk. Costs $100.00+ more. For recreational dives I wear the BARE CT200 Underwear.

I have Cuffrings and the Xerotech style drygloves installed on suit

DUI Hood w/warm neck collar
Tusa Splendive 2 mask (most comfortable mask ever) w/black silicone skirt
No Snorkel (no place for it with all this other gear!)
Turtle Fins w/spring heel strap (would prefer the Jetfins if they made them bigger) Jet Fins XL w/spring heel strap for cave diving in wetsuit.
Mares Quattro my most normal pair of fins to wear I have one of the worlds only red one's! Can't give em' up!

I wear my argon bottle (oms 13) on my right side attached to my backplate

Diverite MLS2/MR16 Canister Light w/high colour bulb on waist right side. It has the acutator to turn it on and off on the handle. I find its more reliable than a toggle switch which is a failure point.

Reels are clipped off on my 2" crotch strap on my butt
Wrist slate w/my diveplan and Digital bottom timer attatched
My favourite piece of gear Diverite NiTek 3 multi-gas computer

For deco bottles I have:

2 steel 45's heiser's w/convertable din valves
MK 2+ first stage regulator w/ 1 R190, 1 w/R380
2 Aluminum 80's w/convertable Din valves
MK 2+ first stage regulator w/1 R190, 1 w/R380
All stages have Scubapro or Dacor mini pressure gauges on 6" high pressure hoses looped and tied with tiewraps

* All Regulators here have OPR Valves on them*

No Tank boots
Lift Bag 50lb or 100lb. Diverite No Spill usually attached to an aluminum 80 or the side of my tanks.

I also have a Bare ATR HD drysuit in case I blow a wrist seal or something. Extra regs, tools, parts kits, etc.

I've had virtually every "good" regulator on the market (with the exception of the one's I'm using now) blowup on me. These one's have served me well, and I will keep this setup the way it is, as I trust my life to this equipment!

:grrr:
