What LDS do you two go to? Because any dive shop that caters to people as pedantic as you guys will *love* me as a customer! :)

After being encouraged to find a techy dive shop, I decided to try to widen my search. A store about 70 miles away (!) says that they work with a hydro place that specializes in weird tanks from all over the country, and that they'll do a + hydro. The idea of about 6 hours of my life (two round trips!) for a + hydro is not my favorite, but at least if I strike out locally, I've got options...

In the eyes of the DOT (And I do know one Hydroshop that has had this argument and lost it with a inspector, and no it was not my hydroshop.)

Should = Implies it is optional.

Must = Not optional. Needed on hand to operate.

Well, "might" or "could" would imply that it is optional and they might or might not have the documents.
"Should" carries the idea that it is something that is expected.
Anyhow, I read rstofer to mean just what he said, and that a hydro facility should have the documents because they are required to.

tmassey, just be sure they KNOW how to do a + hydro. I assumed my hydro guy knew what he was doing but he was needlessly damaging my cylinders.
