Which pocket do you put your shame in for wearing those goobery shorts?

But for the pockets that are on my drysuit, it totally depends on the dive. Things that may or may not end up in my pockets:

spare wetnotes
spare mask
spare primary light head
sea-spanner wrench
multi-tool (screwdrivers, oring pick, allen wrenches)
Nautilus Lifeline GPS/ radio
marker dye
double ender clips
survey flashlight
spidge strap
75' spool
75' spool
75' spool (Another one! DJ Khaled! We da best!)
6' SMB
3' SMB
4.5' SMB
65lb lift bag
lift bag inflator

The shame goes in the left pocket for me when i dive wet. But seriously, from your viewpoint does it really matter what goes in which pocket? I keep my smb w/ spool in my left and wetnotes/backup mask in my right. But why would it matter which pocket stuff is in? If you and your buddies are switched i feel like it wont be the end of the world. I like GUE, i plan on doing further training with GUE, but the whole pocket thing is pretty militant imo.

The GUE guideline is just a guideline. No one really cares what pocket your stuff goes in. I can't think of a condition that would require my buddy to rummage through my pockets, nor could I come up with a scenario where I'd need to rummage through his.

THAT SAID i do put some thought into it.

Generally speaking, stuff I plan to use goes in my left pocket just because its a bit easier to get at. But sometimes there's so much stuff to carry that I end up putting things I don't plan on using in the left pocket, too.

GUE just had to pick something because so many people were asking. Don't sweat it.

Which pocket do you put your shame in.......

A friend of mine carries a picture of his wife underwater.

He pulls it out and smiles because it's the only time he can look at her and she's not yelling at him.

Nice discussion everybody. Appreciate it.

"Is that a torch in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" (Sorry, filter is off this AM.)

More importantly everything in your pocket needs to be clipped or it's gone, period.

I keep everything back-up in my pockets. Things I most likely will need go on my right side and my left side flys deco tanks

Ok. Back home now. Here is US link for the canister.
Never had one leak even down to ~100 feet. I like it for electronic keys and credit cards/C cards when diving too.
I clip it to D ring on my shorts. If the pocket opens up the little sucker want to make an emergency buoyant ascent.:snap:
