Sounds like you're running into a lot of frustrating issues with Ariane's trial mode—especially with saving, exporting, and dealing with complex maps. If you’re serious about cave mapping, check out KBase or Survex. Both are popular in the cave mapping community and have more reliable features for complex systems. KBase, in particular, has tons of support and feedback online. If you’re really set on Ariane, it might be worth buying the full version to see if it works better, but make sure to look into other options first.

Yes, it was the trial mode causing issues. I did end up buying a license and was able to create a good map using the software. I will also check out the ones you mentioned.
