Turn your welding mask into a FFM!

Hmmm, You may be on to something!:rofl3: I wonder if my Speedglass lens would work underwater?

My Mike Nelson knife that is longer than my forearm. I don't take it underwater anymore, but I find it great for getting to the front of the food line on the boat.

I love my Oceanic Ion 4 mask. Not because of any special design or feature but because it FITS! Snorkel masks have always leaked at least some on me and I tried on every mask in the store before I found one that didn't gap at the bottom. A little trimming of the mustache made it a perfect fit that feels like part of my face and has near zero leakage.

Add the prescription lenses and I can actually SEE underwater (contacts are not an option).

My DIR training.

Oh, if we step away from gear, I wholeheartedly agree. The single thing that has positively affected ALL of my diving for the last three and a half years.

All my new DIR gear! I just REALLY can't believe how awesome it is! Today -doing the 27-29th dive since I switched & still every time I slip into the water with this streamline gear I just giggle with delight! The difference between diving this gear and rec diving gear is truly unbelievable!

Which is better?

My atomic frameless mask (love, love, love this!)
jet fins w/halcyon springs (wow!)
DSS bp/w (this is awesome!)
hose config - thats exactly where I need it & doesn't get in the way?
the little lightweight salvo rat jr backup lights?

:rofl3::rofl3: I love it all!!!

Now - working on getting some DIR training to learn how to make it perform that much more :D!

Happy shopping ya all!

Not mentioned in my previous post, something that I am very thankful to have available to divers
... My DAN membership, and my DAN Preferred Plan insurance ... after some first hand knowledge of how good they are, and important it is .. I would not dive without it

I am not only a member but a former patient and I can assure you, for evaluation at a Level I Trauma Centre and chamber treatments at Duke University Medical Centre (also a Level I Trauma Centre), my cost- $25.00. My bill that was covered, $6000.00. So yeah, thanks DAN. Preferred Plan for life!

Well, so far, as a n00b I'm happy with all my gear. I'm sure as I gain more experience and read more reviews, I'll want to upgrade some items with better equipment, but for now it's all good.

I am very happy with the Mares Avanti Superchannel fins. I chose them after reading a scuba magazine comparison test/review against a number of other fins, and I love how well they move me through the water.
