The bits of gear that have changed my diving the most include:

-drysuit as it made winter diving bareable (Northern Diver Divemaster)
-p-valve as it made drysuit diving much more comfortable
-camera as it gave me a new purpose for diving and made me discover how much I like photography (Sony P93, no strobe yet :()

Other bits of gear that I have liked for comfort reasons (but not *huge* changes like the above) are:
-switching to BP/W set up (OMS single wing with SS BP)
-switching to wrist computer from console (Aladin Tec2g)

Halcyon BP/W and my OMS Slipstreams.

DC800...until I lost it on a wreck dive. And then the DC1000 I replaced it with!

My 2 G250/Mk18 regs - 2 Worthington HP100's - DUI Flex 50/50 drysuit - Packhorse modded W200 light .. and the smok'n deal I got on all of them :)
Not mentioned in my previous post, something that I am very thankful to have available to divers
... My DAN membership, and my DAN Preferred Plan insurance ... after some first hand knowledge of how good they are, and important it is .. I would not dive without it

You are so very right on that one D_B. So on top of my Worthington HP100 tank, I want to add my Dan membership and preferred membership dive insurance as well.

DAN Preferred.
My Honda Element dive mobile.
Drysuit, although it's a love hate thing.
Weight harness instead of weights on my BP.

Spring Straps for my Jet Fins: has transformed by Jets into an extension of my body.
Aqualung Legend LX: breathes like a dream, no more dry mouth
Suunto D4: Tells me everything I need and has a great software program

Atomic V6 full foot split fins ...

Yea, yeah, yeah ... I know ... they break all the rules about what a "real diver" uses. But they fit like they grew on me, they're fast and powerful, and they do it all. Forward, reverse, etc. They're my first choice over my open heel fins unless I'm shore diving, even though they're ... omigod! ... split fins!
