My buddy and I recently got Cave certified and we're about to spend all of next week in the Gainesville area to do some cave diving. We spent the entire course at Ginnie in the Devil's cave system and we want to expand our horizons a bit. So what caves in this area are good for 2 intro cave divers?

We already have Peacock I Olsen line on the list, we were going to do this last time before we left but too many people and we decided not to. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll post some pics/vids of where we decided to go after the trip.

You should probably keep a close eye on conditions. It sounds like Peacock is getting better, but still far from normal. ~20' vis?

FWIW, I am planning some Intro dive into Little River as soon as I get time and vis improves.

Report from my buddies there now is that viz in most caves is very poor due to flooding. Check with folks at Dive outpost or Bill Rennaker's shop both in Luraville. Also check Cave divers forum for condition reports.

You can't really go wrong with Ginnie - it is a big system with lots to see. Peacock, Madison, and Little river were all dives we did shortly after being cave certified on our own. I wouldn't go to Cow until you are comfortable with restrictions. I would definitely make sure you go with someone who has been there before.

How do you get cave certified all in one system?

They are intro to cave which I believe can be completed in just 1 system

If most systems are still closed or marginal, can make change of plans and do Mill pond up in Marianna, or Madison (if that has cleared up)

Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks.

Assuming they are only basic, basic requires two entrances so the Eye and the Ear would work.

To OP, if you are only basic, you need to do a more detailed search as some sites are full cave only.

Which agency requires two entrances for Intro/Basic Cave? I know that NACD used to limit me to single tank 1/3rds, but it seems that now diving doubles to 1/6th, mainline only, no stages are the main limitations.
