Oh - My opinion on battery operated quartz movements in watches - They work well - they are very accurate - If someone spends more than $100 they were robbed!

I love it!
A little bulky for general, topside, every day wear though.
But it is small for a wrist dive computer.

I wear the cheapest watch I can find at Wal-Mart. My current one is 100M rated and costs $5.85. I've worn a Breitling, and a Luminox in years past. But this uhhh... "Aquatech" will do!

I've got one of the first solar powered digital watches from the early 70's, the Synchronar Sun Watch, and still use it after almost 30 years. But I retired it from diving after seeing how much it sells for on Ebay. Attached is an old ad on these watches. Completely sealed in Lexan. Good to 700 feet. Calendar function program through 2100. Etc. Etc.

I've got a Helix but haven't used it yet and a Casio dive watch. Had a Seiko self winding. I agree with the consensus on this board. Don't spend much for a dive watch unless it's a computer (spend a lot on that). The only reason I would ever buy a Rolex or a Bell & Ross Hydromax 11000M (water resistent to 11,000 meters) would be for land use. Why risk a $2000+ piece of equipment just to tell time when a good computer or a $200 bottom timer/dept guage will do it better.

In my case, a $30 Timex Helix should suffice.
