What BC and reg do you use?

I use the seaquest black diamond and aqua lung black pearl in cold water diving. The black diamond has plenty of left with lots of room to hang all sorts of do dads. It is also very adjustable. The black pearl is a tec reg and will breath at any depth you want to do to in any posistion wonderfully. Not an inexpensive set up but one I love.

Scuba Pro MK25.w/S600 , they speak for themselves, BCD...OceanMaster,Pro Knight ,....but I would not recomend any of the OceanMaster products ,as they have NO WARANTEE on any of their BCD`s, and just in the past few months decided not to honor the previous warantees.......be careful when you do make a selection,,,,RESEARCH.....pays off in the long run....see ya` under

IST R10 Reg - LOVE IT!
Read all the great reviews about the IST R10 Reg so I bought it and loved it so I bought the BC thinking they made good regs so the BC ought to be good. Not a great decision tree I must say.
My next BC is going to be a DSS single setup. Just waiting for the OK from the woman.

Single tank: Halcyon Pioneer 27, SS Halcyon Backplate, Oceanic Delta regs.
Doubles: Dive Rite Classic Wing, SS Backplate (AL tanks), Dive Rite RG2500ICE x2
The single tank setup is very simple and works well. The Oceanic regs breathe remarkably well, but it's time to move to something newer. Likely a Zeagle Envoy. BP/W setup is as close to perfect as anything I've been in. Wouldn't change it.
The double setup is new. Only two dives on it. Wing is too big in theory but will suit my 95s/108s/130s when I get them. BP is fine, Dive Rite regs are superb. Bought the cold water ones for future use
Thanks to this site and a lot of research, I feel I have made no mistakes in buying my gear along the way. Very pleased with everything I own. The BP/W pros and cons have been discussed ad nauseum. The Dive Rite regs are inexpensive and breathe extremely well. They look great too with their black covering and red trim. The Oceanic is 11 years old but still breathes better than some new gear I've tried recently.

BC - Reef Rider by Aeris - Its pretty nice. very light weight and i feel very free in the water. Not to mention, it wasnt too pricy either.
Reg - Titan LX. Its fine, I cant really tell a huge difference between alot of regs, but thats because I havent been diving too long.
I really like my BC tho.

SS backplate & OxyCheq 45lb singles wing with Genesis GS2000 reg for single tank.
The SS plate keeps weight off of the weightbelt. The wing is nice, though I really have no use for that much lift. Diving big steel tanks with lots of neoprene, thereby requiring lots of lead, it would be the ticket, though.
The GS2000 has been a decent regulator. It doesn't seem to breathe well upside down, and the first stage comes up a little short with two divers breathing off of the primary & the octopus at depth. I have been told that it can be tuned up to be a really nice breathing reg, though.
Aluminum backplate with DiveRite Classic wing & 2 DiveRite regulators for doubles.
Considering the HP steel doubles that I have, the aluminum plate is preferable to SS. The Classic wing seems to work just fine, but then again, I never have used anything else to compare it to.
The DiveRite regulators have been really nice. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Some don't like the swivel that the first stage has, but I haven't experienced issues with it yet.The price is a really big attraction with these regulators. Also, if you want to service them yourself, parts are easily available. But then again, if you don't want to, DiveRite doesn't seem to be as popular in diveshops that specialize in recreational diving. Most technical oriented shops in my area seem to carry the line, though.
