What are your biggest pet peeves?

So far, with my limited experience my biggest pet peeves are being rushed, and being pressured to do things I'm not ready for.

I had one person at a dive op in Florida try to talk me into doing a dive on the Spiegel Grove (with an instructor or DM) when I go there next month. Um, that's deeper than I'm trained for and way deeper than I can handle right now. I don't care if I'll have an "advanced" open water card, and I don't care if it would be with an instructor. I'm nowhere close to the level of experience/confidence needed for that dive.

Another pet peeve is wetsuits that are difficult to get on without being a contortionist.

Packing up my gear, loading it into my car, unloading it at the beach, gearing up, walking to the water, lengthy surface swims, walking back to my car from the water, taking the gear off, driving up the street to get an air fill, driving back and hoping there's still a parking spot, packing everything up for the drive home, driving home, taking my gear out of the car, and cleaning/hanging my gear. I guess I hate everything about diving except for diving.

It's a wolf eel ... which isn't an eel at all. It's the world's largest blenny. The males get up to about 9-10 feet long. The one in the picture is a full-grown male. They're so ugly they're cute (kinda like an old Walter Mathau on a really bad day) ... here's what the whole fish looks like ...

I was diving once on the outer Harbour in Halifax with my dive buddy, Captain Kathy. She wrote 'Big Fish!' on her slate and pointed under a big overhanging rock. I could see about four feet of tail. I squeezed under the rock and came face to face with one of these. His head was as big as mine. I found I had the requisite skills to swim backwards at high speed.

My biggest pet peeve is that the ocean is so far from me...and my nearest dive site is over 2 hours away from me.

I don't know about pissed off....but those "Toppers" can be a riot, and if given enough rope and time (usually a minute in), will hang themselves. I like to time them, make silent bets with my buddy, and see who wins. We usually bet a frosty beverage after the dive....

1) OW divers that kill themselves in caves.

2) Condom catheters that are too small.

Getting geared up in the woolies and drysuit in 90 deg. summer weather. Hitting that cold water is such a relief.
