I saw the same question being asked in another post. I talked to SOF and they said it is around 23C = 73F water around Sept. Unfortunately the water I dive seldom reaches 10C = 50F. Thus I have no idea what warm water or warm water wetsuits are :D
For 5-6 dives a day and night dives, what kind of wetsuit will you recommend. Should I wear a 3mm vest under my 3mm surf suit or 3mm wetsuit is good enough. As far as I remember I once dove in 85F water in India and I was wearing only a coolmax T-shirt.
I don't get cold easily but I want to enjoy the long dives. Also I will be photographing so won't be moving much to stay warm.

If you are going on SOF they will have 5mm shorties. I seem to remember they do have a few long johns, but if you do feel the cold a hood and vest will keep you warmer than a full lenght 3mm steamer.
You can get cheap 3mm vest and hoods.
I used them teaching under water double diving and they worked really well.
If you dont like a hood, you can ask for 2 wet suits. One over the top of the other! Lots of people do.

Thanks, I will probably use a 3mm vest under my 3mm steamer. I am used to hood, so that will not be a problem.

I have dived from liveaboards on the GBR in may, july august in a 3mm and found it warm enough.
Most other divers, on board, have worn the same, though some have added a hood or vest, whilst others just boardshorts and a vest.

After 10C water it will seem like a sauna.

Thanks for the information. To be honest , I have become a "wimp" in recent months by using drysuit but for a long time I dove wet in 10C water with dive time ranging around 50-60 mins :-)

Yoo hoo came back from a great trip to Coral Sea !! The water was definitely sauna like as in 26-28C. Started diving with 3mil full wetsuit and by the second day was diving with only a 3mil vest. The dive times ranged from 45 min to 69 max. Depths were typically in 80-100' range in Coral Sea and 30-40' in Ribbon reefs. Surprisingly the coldest I felt was in Steve's Bommie at 35', go figure !!
