Well, if you want to dive with me on Wed then you have quite a long trip to take. I'm thinking of diving in Cape Ann or RI.

PK once bubbled...
Well, if you want to dive with me on Wed then you have quite a long trip to take. I'm thinking of diving in Cape Ann or RI.

Any decent diving is about 3.5 hours away. Cape Anne, Forth Wetherill, and Dutch Springs are all that distance. The only closer diving is Lake George and the quarry in Rutland. I drive all the time, the distance is no big deal.

I've had to cancel two trips already in the past month.. one for work and one because my buddies cancelled. I want to get in the water, and I'm leaving Thursday for New Mexico. :)

no takers for Weds I am planning to go both Thurs and Fri. Thurs I will be diving with an instructor buddy of mine and on Fri I will be diving with my daughter.

The Thurs dive will be for bugs and if I can talk him into it will be 3 tanks. These dives are a bit more work then most but a lot easier than scallop dives.

The Fri dive will be the first this year for my daughter and could be just like a check out dive. We definately will be taking it easy and slow. She was the most skilled (of my kids) last time we dove but it has been a year since the dive. My wife ( THE BOSS ) was supposed to go but can't.

Our Tues nite dive got cancelled this week but we are trying to dive every other Tues evening.

Just throwing out a cpl of options :)

So PK, are we on? When/where to meet?

Well the weather isn't going to be as nice as NOAA forecasted before. Here's there updated forecast:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/MAZ015.php?warncounty=MAC025&city=Boston

It should still be okay for diving but I'm not sure it's great enough for you to make your 3.5 trek out here. THe weekend is supposed to be nice weather.

It's your call. I just have to be done diving and packing my car by 2:30pm. Let me know if that works for you.

As far as I can recall, no forecast ever posted on scubaboard has been accurate, but for what it's worth the forecast on http://www.marineweather.com/
calls for:
Wed
S wind around 15 kt. Seas 1 to 3 ft. A chance of showers by late in the day.

Since clouds mean fewer crowds and easier parking, and since you plan on an early dive (before the rain), that sounds to me like a beautiful forecast for diving Cape Ann. If I wasn't going to be house painting, I'd probably head up myself.

Maybe we'll catch up and dive this weekend in Cape Ann. Are you going to be around?

Nope... I'm heading up to Canada on friday to spend a week at a lake house not far over the border with a bunch of friends.
