You know that you aren't likely to encounter blizzard conditions on Cozumel, right? :)

Hopefully, but the surface interval’s usually cold enough to warrant a boat coat. :p

Were I reside it is very mild temperate weather and coats are the exception - except on a chilly day while off shore

I have owned three and worn out two original "Warm Wind" "boat coats"

I have worn them many times as a outer garment on airplane flights with out any special glances from other passengers or objections from the crew.

While on the aircraft I generally use it as leg blanket

When you are cold after a dive there is no requirement to be fashionable -- only warm

As long as your wearing a bikini, TSA shouldn't have any concerns ;)

I would have no problem with that if they wanted to keep it on, or stow in under the seat in front of them. If they wanted to stuff it in the overhead along with their carry-on, I would consider them an ass.

I typically drape my coat over my knees like a blanket, especially if the door is open and I'm sitting up front. After the door closes and everything is stowed, I check to see if there is room in the overhead to stuff my coat. So, @Dogbowl, if you are okay rolling it up and it doesn't take much room, it isn't really an ******* move to stow it in the overhead AFTER everyone else has stowed their luggage. It looks light enough you might be able to fold it up and jam it above your carry-on (assuming you have carry-on in the overhead).

Haha, I don’t think that will be a problem. I’m always cold on airplanes. I will have the coat on my body the whole flight. So not concerned about being an a$$ in that respect. I was more concerned people might think I was trying to conceal something in such a big coat, thereby causing fear.

Likely Port Closure

No, but I've been on the island many times in the past when something like this came up, and even though the Port might re-open, the air temp on the ride down and back to the reefs can get downright mean.

I’m glad we’re bringing boat coats. Not a waste of money.

Why not get the red one?

Why not get the red one?

I actually wanted the red one but because I’m shopping on the Canadian Amazon site, the red one wouldn’t get here in time (it’s shipped from the US) and shipping costs CAD$35. The black or Navy version is eligible for free Prime shipping and will get here in 2 days!
