Ok I know the 28th is the official day, but where. I've seen a few other posts mention an aquarium.

I assume they mean the NY aquarium, since it was mentioned earlier in this thread? Where is it, do they have a site.

Someone please post when and where, and I'll be there. Also then I can pass the info on to some other WVDs.

I have never been there but I hear the NY Aquarium in Coney Island Brooklyn is supposed to be very nice. I will be willing to coordinate now that I am back in NY.

The rates and hours for the Aquarium including parking are here.
I am going to call tomorrow and find out if group rates are available.

It looks like the hours are 10:00am to 4:30pm for this time of year. If everyone likes this idea for the location, then I will get moving on it.

If you are interested in going, please PM me and let me know how many will be going with you, list Adults, Children (2-12) and Seniors (65+) separately.

Here are some more links from the website:

Yes, that's the place I was talking about. It's a very nice aquarium. We're probably going to want to get there early if we want to see everything. The crowds will start getting unbearable by 1:00 or so. The roads will be empty in the morning too.

Can everyone do 10:00? I'll try to get there a little early and gather everyone as they show up. Jen and I will be in a bronze Jeep Liberty. If anyone will be showing up later, try to come up with a specific time, and we can swing back by the front doors to meet you.

Ben- After everyone PM's you, post a guest list.

I spoke to the reservations department at the NY Aquarium, if I can give them an approximate headcount by Friday 12/12/03, then we can get a group price of $5.50 per ticket for all who are older than 2, instead of the normal $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for children and seniors.

PLEASE get me a headcount and if you are not sure if you are going to be able to make it please give me an idea of what the odds are of you making it.

Thanks,

Looks good. Someone needs to PM me a cell phone number so WHEN I get lost (notice - 'when' not 'if') you can talk me in. Can't believe I'm going to drive up to B-lyn by 10 am on a Sunday!!

Seriously - looking forward to meeting some of the SB WV members.

Jersey- It's a pretty easy drive, and is highways the whole way. If you can get over the Throgs Neck and on to the Van Wyck, you're 90% of the way there. The roads will be empty on a Sunday morning this time of year also.
