I did a search and it looks like the water temps in winter are usually an average of 75 F.

Is this what I can expect the last week in March? At 30 feet as well as 100 feet? What about for night dives?

I'm taking a 3/2 mm with 5mm booties.

around the mid 70's...on night dives it is not as cold in the water as it is between dives...take something warm or a towel with you for the SI

its been a while since i have been diving in hawaii, but as my computer tells me from the 137 dives i have done in hawaii in the last two years the coldest its gotten even at 115 feet at night is 74, a majority of my dives read at 76 - 78 year round, day and night

now whose fault is that? get your butt home and dive :D

10 more months and i will be back home, graduation looks like it will be december 19. Ive been busting my but finishing a three year JD program in two years, and I am ashamed to say, I have not been diving all that much(its really not my fault though, the water temp is like in the 50s here in so cal, and it gets worse when you get to depth. there is almost no thermal cline in hawaii, but here heck every ten feet there is a temp drop. haha ok i know it sounds like i am whining, and i am, but thats what happens when you go from diving at least 4 times a week to once every four months.

Nice and toasty warm--yeah. Can't wait to get there. Thanks again Lisa and you too jjgibo.

75 is the cutoff for me with the 3mil. I'm in the 5 when it's 75 or less. Last May we weren't below 78 anywhere on Maui

Brrr, we're heading to Maui on April 1 and I plan to dive in my 5mil full suit! 75 is too cold for a 3mil if I'm diving everyday.

Hehehe

Compared to 38 degree water, 75 is hot! Above 80 I dive in a skin, or a shorty or even a bathing suit. A 3mm is just right for me between 75 and 80. But I grew up swimming in the Jersey Shore where the water was very cold and now I live in Alaska where cold is relative :D

wow thats cold, i thought that was nice and toasty. I thought it was so warm, I did five dives one day with dive oahu including a night dive in a pair of shorts. It was awesome, i love being able to dive without a wetsuit.
