Hey, it's not about PAYING anything. It's about getting together as a group of divers and meeting each other face to face and sharing those things that are important in our lives, including diving.

Football games, baseball games, hockey games, car races, horse races and what have you will come and go, but we have but one chance to be here upon this earth.

Life is short. Get to know someone.

To paraphrase Martha, the squeezing of swaddling newby's wallets is a good thing. It brings great perks to us oldbys.

Actually Rick and I are just cute and we flung a spell on Erica. You know, she called me aside one day and said "Tom" I said "huh?" Erica said that she would make me a special deal and if I let her hold my credit card for a minute she'd let me in her granddaddy's spring free for a year. Now how much better a somtinother can you get than that?

Actually I agree with Dennis. A gathering such as this is a social opportunity that comes rarely. We have our local friends and buddies and sometimes we luck out to meet new folks here and there. Heck, here on SB we're already friends even though we disagree at times. The ability to walk up and shake hands with a heretofore screen name is something that is just wonderful. After you spend the time and inclination to get here - entry fees are just incidentals much like shotgun shells and golf balls.
