I think it's overpriced for what's there, myself. Been there, done that...bout would be willing to do it again for good food and the chance to hang with good folks, especially Scuba Boarders and Auburn Fans...........WARRRRR EAGLE, HEY!

Superbugman probably thinks it's pricey, too...I mean, just check out his sig line!

$32 bucks is pretty pricey for a hole in the ground that small. Most quarries charge about half that.

Its not too far off par really, just try Devils Den or worse, Blue Grotto($40+ and talk abot a little hole in the ground!). DD and BG are nicish, but aren't open to diving at night regularly and don't have near the amnenities(sp?).

Quarries won't get the visibility that the springs get either, or variety of life, or the natural formations(you can find in the caverns and caves(for those with the training) at Vortex and even the basins of other nearby springs).

The dive is what you make of it, I have fun diving Vortex, especially at night. I wouldn't do it constantly. The grounds at Vortex make for a wonderfull central diving location to it and the surrounding springs and an you can party all night without bothering anyone.

Its a meet-n-greet-n-dive, Vortex is the best place for it in the area. I'll be honest, most of my dives will take place elsewhere, but I'll pay for a day of diving at Vortex to take the plunge with a large group of SB'ers :mooner:

As the Bug Man so eloquently states, it's the best staging point for such a large gathering of divers. The acommodations on site and off site, are quite good for this type of event.

We just really wish a WHOLE BUNCH of y'all will come down for it.

Wish I could make it, but you better believe there isn't a diving desitination on earth that would make me miss the AU/UF Football game. War Eagle! In fact, my fiance is going to Bonaire with another couple on the day of the AU/Wash St game and I found myself a different flight on Sun AM so I don't have to miss the football game...

You guys have fun down there...

Me and hubby want to go...

What do we do with the in-laws in the mean time? They are getting season tickets and always camp out at our place in the trailorhood in Auburn...

Leave a key under the mat and a case of beer excusing your absence.

I LOVE IT !!!!
