A hook for a crotch strap if i recall correctly.

Yes, that is what I remember, but it was not around for long.

There was a hook on the crotch strap that would fit in there and when you open the buckle it would release.


I do like the bottle opener idea. I never tried to use it like that. :wink:

That dacor buckle in the first shot appears identical to the buckle I use on my bcd's. Mine don't have the dacor sticker, but the metal appears to be the same. Mine are only about 5 years old.
 
I have no idea as to the age of the buckle that couv sent me, but it is OLD. :) (Endless thanks, couv) I'm using it to allow my torn right arm to get in and out of a single tank FP rig that is nearly finished. Waist buckle will be from U.S. Divers.
