Apple says the iPhone 14 and newer are waterproof to 6 meters / 19.7 feet. On apple support it’s implied not to video or photo underwater without a waterproof case. I can’t find actual official Apple language forbidding it. On a recent snorkel trip a guy was videoing underwater with his. Do any of you do it with no waterproof case? Has your phone been damaged? If so was it replaced under AppleCare/ AppleCare plus? I get that the case is better for scuba at depths exceeding 19 feet. Thanks

A friend took an iPhone in the pool. Apple gave her a new one, and a waterproof case, when she pointed out the “waterproof” language.

Which year phone ? Only the newer iPhones have been waterproof to even a few feet/ meters.
