We've been blessed with some stellar local shore diving lately. Here's some video footage by teammate Tomas Stanevicius from a recent scooter dive in Laguna Beach.

The group had fun exploring Diver's Cove and the three adjoining coves to the North. We eventually turned the dive at Crescent Bay and navigated back to our entry point at Diver's Cove. Topside & UW conditions were very nice with minimal surf/surge and viz up to 30ft in places. Hope everyone is enjoying the conditions while they last.

If only we could get Thomas to finish the video for the Shaws night dive........ :D

Great video! How is he mounting his camera to his scooter? Video is clean. Must be an AWESOME mounting system.
Sorry. That's my shameless self promotion for the day. :D

Happy Diving,
Kevin

From what I understand, the mount performed well. I think the only constructive criticism I heard, was that it would be desirable to have a way to quickly connect/disconnect the camera to facilitate entry/exit with larger systems.

Yeah. For the larger camera systems, a beach entry is less than desireable. But yes, I'm working on a few ideas and prototypes for Tomas to test dive.

Tomas Stanevicius just posted the Shaws Cove video.

Video footage from night dive at Shaw’s Cove.
The excellent Fall conditions continued to hold with good viz and minimal swell/surge. The calm and clear conditions were conducive to exploring inner reef system. The group enjoyed a fun 2hr+ dive highlighted by cool marine life encounters as they explored the various channels and swim-throughs of the inner reef system.
