I was so scared that I wouldn’t be able to learn the skills….greatest fear was that I’d never be able to dive. It sucksThis is my fear
Oh there were days I was questioning why the hell I ever thought I could do this. Usually it’d be the days in between classes that it hit the worst. Super grateful I didn’t give up thoughEverything in diving is mind over matter. I have seen more students bail out of classes over mental blocks than physical limitations. Short of running out of gas, if you don't mind, it don't matter.
Right! Everything after this is just perfecting my skillsAnd now you have gained confidence. That will make your upcoming dives even easier. You'll ace the course!
My goal is to do technical diving someday…people say it’s a bit ridiculousJust keep working on it so you can ace the timed test for Dive Master and your way to Instructor. Doesn't hurt to set lofty goals.![]()
I think it’s the commitment to persevere and suceed is what makes the difference, at least that what I keep telling myselfOh there were days I was questioning why the hell I ever thought I could do this. I agree. your desire, passion and work ethic has to outweigh the anxiety and self-doubt.I think it’s the commitment to persevere and succeed is what makes the difference, at least that what I keep telling myself

thanks! omg I'd love to do that kind of stuff. wrecks are one of the things I'm most excited to see.@kay_ann
Way to stick with it. My preference is for the smallest steps to have as continuous progression. Each step is getting closer to the end goal.
And who knows, you might be doing something like diving ancient wrecks below 100 meters one day.
