Victoria Vis conditions?

Vis was only about 10' at Ten Mile Point this evening, and I'm being generous. -Seriously some of the worst visibility I've ever seen there.

30 to 40ft at Willis PT.

About 30' at the end of the breakwater today. Another seriously good dive. Other than the usual thousands of typical rockfish, I saw a group of strange ones schooling off the end (silver grey? Bocaccio?). I also saw a ratfish over the sand at the base of the slope.

Still pretty nasty at 10-Mile today. 10-15'. It's usually much better this time of year.

We are going to be out for the long weekend, any forecast? (Gulf Islands, Saanich, possibly Race Rocks)

Here's my forecast for the coming weekend:
Gulf Islands (Sidney) =20'
Saanich Inlet= 40' below 30' deep
Race Rocks= 30-40'
Ogden Point=20-30'
Ten Mile= 15-20'

I'll bet that will be more accurate than most surface weather reports.

So it's not Victoria, but about 50' at Cottam Point and 30' at the Jib (Nanoose area) today.

Ogden Point=20-30'
Ten Mile= 15-20'

Thr rain and wind this weekend probably screwed up my predictions. Speaking of weather, Environment Canada said there was a gale warning up off Nanoose, but when I got up there it was nice and calm.
