Hello! A buddy and I would like to dive in Victoria on Saturday 9/27. We'd like to find a local guide and get suggestions on where to go. He is drysuit certified, I'll be renting a suit. We both have cold water experience and about 40 logged dives. We're both PADI OW & Nitrox certified. Would love to hear what info you can share, and even better if you're looking for dive buddies in a week and a half.

Ogden Point Breakwater is probably the best shore dive in Victoria. Easy entry, a marine park and kelp beds most of the way out. No current to deal with. Hopefully someone else will have ideas re local guide. Failing that the local dive shops can help.

Can you make Sunday happen instead? There are guided dives every Sunday through Frank White's.
Wilson's might guide on Saturdays but they are OW depth and generally less interesting areas.

Even better would be going north to Nanoose Bay.

Awesome, thank you. That'll likely be our target. The geography looks a lot like Monterey, Ca so it'll be cool to see how they compare.

Unfortunately not. Our flights leave town on Sunday so Sat is our last chance. Would love to hit that though. I'll look into Nanoose Bay just in case that could work...
