Visibility was better today at Henderson Point (Saanich Inlet). I didn't notice a thermocline or an obvious layer where visibility suddenly got better, but visibility gradually cleared from maybe 8' in the shallows to 20-30' at 60' deep to around 40' at 100' deep. There were lots of particles floating around at all depths.

Finally some good vis at Tyee yesterday morning. Pronounced thermocline around 30 feet. Vis a good 40 feet plus at depth, and not bad in the shallows either. Tide was on a high ebb.

At Whittaker Point in Saanich Inlet (sort of between Willis Point and McKenzie Bight) visibility was about 10' in the shallows and started to clear below 30' deep. Below 60' deep, visibility was about 50'. I did a second dive across the Inlet at McCurdy Point and visibility was the same there.

Pretty bad visibility at Yarrow Point (Saanich Inlet) today. It looked like there was one of the red plankton blooms starting at the surface. Visibility was about 6-8' down to 30' deep. Then it gradually started clearing to maybe 20' at my max depth of 115' deep. Below 50' deep it was almost completely dark.

20+ in the shallows and 40+ on the wall at Wall Beach tonight.

Dove at Madrona last night. 5 - 10 feet of vis until we got on the big wall. Below 60 feet it opened up quite nicely.

Really good vis at Oak Point yesterday morning - from the shallows all the way down to 80 plus feet.

Tide was on an ebb.

Great vis at Dolphin this morning - good in the shallows but great on the big wall and east wall.

Tide was on a high flood.
