Gas is abundant here. Half the gas stations, though, only have a few pumps standing. I think it's fine in Venice, though (it was on Sunday).

There isnt any problems with gas around the sarasota area. And why wait, dive, come back and he'll be ready

If I'm there early, I'll be doing my 2nd dive while some folks are doing their first. I know whats out there and I'm not going to hang out and wait!

Hey, leave some for the elderly.

Oh heck, is there really gonna be any vis over there.I have really been wanting to do this but with another flippin cane supposed to be in our area Sunday AM, I just do not know. Compounding the problem is the fact that I saw about $25,000 worth of ancient man artifacts come out of a hole in the dirt last Saturday. To dig or to dive, that is the question.

Well it looks like teh hurricane wont actually be on us til early sunday morning through the rest of the day - will confirm in the next two days, but i can just see the roads clogged - fun and people running around for hurricane supplies (again) and wasting their gas - whilst lining up for some more. Will have a definitive tomorrow.

I'm still planning on going. Sat Morning should be fine. But sunday will end up the pits again.
I just got my fence put back up. :(

Ummm.. I was under the impression that all ancient artifacts are unable to be taken right now. The state is trying to do a serious study on it. I'll have to double check on that though.

addendum: Its somewhere in this site. I had a week of little to nothing else to do but read everything : http://dhr.dos.state.fl.us/

It looks like the track for Jeanne has moved further east as of this morning. I don't think it's going to be an issue for this coast much at all.

I'm still planing on being at VB tomorrow morning. Why not live on the edge!
