Can anyone else such as Aristokat comment? If it's gonna be a day of chasing flying tents and rough surge in low viz trying to find sharkteeth and stay with my buddy, maybe it would be best to bow out. That said, I know it's rough to cancel something like this.

If it's cancelled I'll still mail a tip to the boat.

Well, then enjoy yourself(ves). It is showing to be a possible tropical storm building, and I am not willing to "enjoy" myself for the day on the beach in those conditions.

KBeck and CoolTech are officially out for tomorrow, but are more than ready to jump at another week if others want to join

I'm confused, am I not looking at the right weather? I'm looking at weather.com, and it's showing scatter T-storms tomorrow afternoon. Looking out my back window it's cloudy and windy right now, but no thunder/lightening; that's been kicking up about 9-10pm here lately


In the mean time, I'm hoping for the best and still getting my bake on for everyone tomorrow

I am going to have to cancel due to high winds, its not worth going out there and having a unsafe/bad time with no vis... Small craft advisory till midnight tonight sw 15 knts Sat NOT GOOD..... sorry to have this news if anyone feels they need to talk to me directly feel free to contact me at 941-321-0852.. just let me know if anyone has changes to date

Tentative Reschdule for August 6th. More to follow.

Due to weather conditions in the Gulf and for safety the dive has been called.

Not everyone will see this so if you know someone that might be going, get word to them that the bash is cancelled.

Spoke with Fossilbabe a short time ago and she said there is ZERO viz so even a shore dive isnt worth making.

Spoke with Fossilbabe a short time agao adn she says viz is ZERO so even a shore dive isnt worth making.

I know the decision was difficult with so many people travelling, but I am glad that the decision was made. There's no reason to forego safety in the name of a party (unless it's a hurricane party of course!)

NetDoc and Msellenaous were scheduled to be here with us for the weekend. I had them look up the weather themselves before leaving Key Largo. Pete called me back and told me he was a no-go for the weekend in Venice due to the reports too.

So far that Saturday looks good for us.... We're in!

I spoke with Jamie and he felt that we wouldn't even be able to shore dive.
It might end up being sunny, but no one would be able to dive. A lot of folks travel a ways for just a picnic on the beach. Even thou that would be fun! So lets save it for another day.

Mark, you did a great job organizing everything, keep up the good work!

Thanks FossilBabe for calling and letting me know, we were just minutes away from leaving. Ok, a little more than that, but you know what I mean. When I picked HC up she told me she's not feeling well, so it's probably best we are staying east side this weekend.
Look forward to seeing everybody on Aug. 6th...

this is a big problem for us. our friends are already there and our rooms are paid for-no cancelation
