This is great! I'm going to do my fourth saltwater dive, find some awesome shark teeth, get to see a ton of my friends again, and I finally got two more members of the Dive Club at UCF (the Treasurer and Secretary for the coming year, nonetheless) to join Scubaboard!

Jim and I will do a count tonight to decide how many sandwich rings to order.

So, can anyone fill me in on some details?

How far out do the boats take us? How long are the dives? Just one tank, or should we bring two, and do another dive from the shore? I'm guessing mesh bags are handy for storing shark teeth in, or what Walmart product will be a lifesaver here?

Boats have volunteered to take us to the boneyard, about a 1/2 mile or so out.. to the depths of maybe 30'. Dive is 1 hour, one tank. Tip jars available to show our appreciation.
Plenty of beach diving while not on the boat. Where to go? Look for all the dive flags. That is the area where the fossil beds are. I am bringing two tanks for me, one for Hermit Crab.
In the event you don't have a mesh bag for collecting teeth, a tube sock works fine.

Hi fellow divers! I'm excited to finally get to go on my first Venice Beach dive I was wondering if there were any spots left on any of the boat dives?

And does anyone have an extra tank they'd let me borrow? I can make one tank last a really long time, so I could easily get two beach dives out of one 80. Pretty please with a cherry on top?

Here is the boat schedule. Just let me know which available spot you'd like to sign up for. And, if nobody else has a tank to offer up, let me know and we can bring one more. But with all the stuff we'll be bringing, we may just have to strap it onto the roof. :shocked2:
