Hey......

I just spent a boatload of cash ($1300) on my hoseless dive computer (Uwatec SmartTec)....and the 1st few times Im in the water the thing seems to have a ton of reception problems......

I have the transmitter on my right side of my 1st stage....and I have the computer on my right side wrist as well....

Now my dive instructor has told me that since I hold my camera on my right side as well that the transmitter my be getting interupted by the new strobe that Ive gotten.....

Anyone have that same situation happen??

I have owned an Uwatec Aladin Air z and had no problems but I didnt have ther strobe for it at that time though.....

I have paired up the transmitter corretly and the computer turns on at 1st topside and reads the air pressure.....Now when Im under the water....the reception goes out and alarms go crazy for awhile until after awhile it doesnt show any air pressure at all.....it reads everything else but the air.......which I kinda like to know :11:

Any expierences with this computer out there...??? Or is it time to sender back to get checked out.....I have only dove with this thing for about 20 dives...

Get the warranty service or replacement from the shop where you bought.
It doesn't make sense that the strobe interupted the signals. LOL~. You paid $1300.
I am using D9 though. I never heard about that fact.

So, UW photographer can't use the Smart Tec?
