I agree, as an engineer today I just wanted a final proof 😂
I really get that, I would have wanted to as well — but without the old Luna on hand we can’t fully have a fair experiment

EDIT: for G2, I checked, nothing about tranxmitter battery low; just computer battery low
The G2 does provide a low transmitter battery alarm.

Awesome news to know! Thanks

Yes but again, last year the old Luna had no issue so I thought hey, probably they're still good... Will change them tomorrow

Let us know how it works out with you.

Had the same problem with mine...

Turns out Scubapro (or Uwatec whom makes the scubapro computers) would seem to have tried to streamline supply in order to reduce costs....

End result, the AI receiver in the computer seems to be overly voltage sensitive -- remember that the rechargable button cells used in the rechargable computers, like the hud, are about .5v higher than the replaceable button cells used in our Luna 2.0's...

Turns out if the battery in the Luna 2.0ai computer gets below 3/4, the voltage goes too low for the receiver to work efficiently -- and it effectively becomes deaf... As the battery gets weaker (and voltage gets lower) the problem gets worse...

Put a FRESH new battery in the computer and it returns to working 100%!

Big note here... You may need to purchase your own battery outside the scubapro supply chain -- this type of battery does slowly self discharge over time and can already be discharged enough to not fix this problem by the time you receive it new... If the battery meter is not FULL once you put in the "new" battery, this is what happened...

Not sure if the receiver chip bias is accomplished via firmware, or descreate components, but presuming its firmware (as most are these days) it would really be nice if Scubapro would put out a firmware update to correct this...

The Luna 2.0 is brand new, it's the transmitter/antenna to be older.
I have verified and battery of the antenna was quite old, replaced, but haved gone diving since :-( so cannot confirm if now works

That's more or less my point....

Mine came brand new with the battery already down to 3/4....
Worked perfect for about 10 dives, then started having problems receiving from the transmitter..... Just got worse and worse...
New battery in the computer corrected my problem...

Hope you get to go dive soon!
