Hi there,

After having an 8 year break from diving, found my old aladin pro dive computer. Put it under tap water to switch it on... and since then it wont stop beeping. It's been almost 2 days now... Anyone know how to make it stop/fix the problem?

It beeps constantly for ten seconds, then this screen flashes for 2 seconds http://s7.postimg.org/us2bsdxff/IMG_5959.jpg then beeps again and screen etc.

Any ideas?

my guess and this is just a guess is that it is a low battery mortice like you would have on the smoke alarm at home

constant beeping is a common low battery symptom. it may take up to a week of soaking in a pail to kill the battery enough to stop it.

all it needs is a new battery. about $5 each when buying in bunches of 5. and very messy to change yourself as the computer is oil filled.
