Now I see why...the Nexus enrollment centers are all near the Canadian border. Go Canucks.
The global entry interviews can be done at international airports in the U.S. (basically where customs & immigration keeps office hours). There still aren't many of those anymore especially in the Midwest. I had to drive over 5 hours to do the 10 min. interview. It was worth it though if you travel much. Really speeds up re-entry and helps make connections when you have to travel to the rural hinterlands.
