This is a bit of a dopey request, but I am looking for an underwater temperature gauge/thermometer. I used to have the Smart Com computer and it had that integrated. After their recall problems I got the air z nitrox. The smart had the temperature, the air z does not. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Never seen just a temp gauge. Several bottom timers I have seen have the temp on them.

Trident has a simple temperature gauge, that fits onto a watchband, or a zipper pull. The watchband version is $10. Kinda hard to read.

You could also try going to a swimming pool supply and buying one of the thermometers you would hang in your pool.
It should work just as well, but I'm not sure how well it holds up in salt water. You might also find a similar product in pet stores for aquariums.

I think I saw a small pool thermometer that looked like a keychain in my dive shop. They kept them near the slates and clips.

I can tell you that my Oceanic spg has a thermometer built in to it, and I also have one on my Mosquito. I also own a watch (Freestyle brand) that has a temperature monitor and can give you basic tide information. It was about $40 on Amazon.

Hope that helps!

I have a Timex Reef Gear with temperature sensor. Not sure how accurate it is. The cost.... $33 I think.

We kept a big plastic pool thermometer in a hypersaline Florida canal for years. No worries, you just had to wipe the algal scum off occasionally. It would be the depth rating that would most concern me... not sure if those things have air-filled space or not.
Most recreational use temperature gauges (including store bought stuff) have wildly variable accuracy. I've seen variances of nearly 15%, 8-10% is the "general rule".
Companies that supply aquatic scientists have pretty good offerings and usually list the error variances.
