Diving with a neoprene suit (like yours) you'll need way less undies than with a shell.
Get yourself some thin polypro undies & wear those under your street clothes, you'll be good for down into the mid 50s or so.
For colder water (into the lower 50s) use some of the army surplus arctic polypro, available for less than $10 per piece, tops & bottom. Tuck the tail into the bottoms.
You can add a wool sweater over that if you want, or a polartec vest from the local Goodwill/St. Vinnie's.

thanks bob thats what i needed to know ...did you find any poplypro lying around your shop?let me know .. thanks again

This is EXACTLY what I've used the last 6 dives in water in the 40's. My suit is DUI neo. I wear a polypro underware (from the Army Surplus!) and fleece over that. I found my chest getting a little chilled after 30 mins, so on the last two dives I've added a polortec vest. Sure, I've had to add weight, by hey, I'm warm! On the money as usual, Bob.

Oh, also I'm not afraid to keep a little extra air in the suit for added insulation.
