It is Nitrox capable.
If you haven't dialled in any personal conservativism, I don't know of a way to change the algorithm. You can set it for a Nitrox mix (which will make it more liberal) but you wouldn't have any idea what you had done and how it would compare with other algorithms. You can also use it in free dive mode -- it goes into "error" after five minutes, but shows you your depth and accumulated dive time for the whole dive. This does cause some problems with logging, because the sampling rate in freedive mode is higher and the computer does something weird about logging two dives for one (one shallow, brief one, and then the rest of the dive you did). In addition, it locks you out from using it as a computer for 48 hours after doing that, and every time you dive, the 48 hours resets. And in that mode, you are simply using it as a gauge and are dependent on your brain for the NDL information.
If you want a more liberal computer, it's probably safer to buy a more liberal computer.
