Your are experiencing perceptual narrowing due to being a little uncomfortable with going deeper... this in turn is intensified with Nitrogen narcosis and it becomes a cycle. Get comfortable with your diving at shallower depths and then gradually increase your depth. Once you start to get more relaxed, your situational awareness will start to increase and you'll be more in tune with what's going on around you throughout the dive.
