Hello....

Ok, so, yes, this is probably really stupid... BUT.....

I have both lights mentioned above. The Q40 at 77 lumens seems to burn brighter than the Ikelite at 45-48 lumens. What's confusing to me is that the Ikelite is rated at 5 watts where as the Q40 is rated at 2 watts. You would think that the Ikelite would be much brighter right? Or am I just not understanding the watts deal?

Granted, I haven't held the two next to each other underwater... But I just can't seem to grasp the wattage piece.

Can someone help me with this? I ask because I'm trying to determine which one to take on the manta dive with me in Hawaii. I've used the Ikelite as my primiary in the Cenotes and didn't have any problems but considering the Q40 seems to be brighter, why not just take that?
