Ammonite LED One MKII Review (kinda)

Ammonite kit is pretty well respected. Not cheap though for the good torches and heater batteries. Then quality is always expensive.

Bit strange that they don't ship Goodman handles with their torch heads. Hate paying extra for something that it should come with.

Very nicely engineered kit though.

You said your LED one runs on 2x AA? I realise you'd know given it's your light, I just have never seen it in 2x AA version.
Hmm. Need to open the torch and look inside -- maybe it is three AAs!
 
Not sure of build quality but using a AA battery 200 lumens, 10 degrees and 80 min run time looks like it might be a good warm water light.


Might try Ammonite to see if they still have any of the OG 260 LED units and if they fit the MKII version.
 
Ok, given it more thought.

I recommend the LED One MKII as both a back up and warm water travel light.

8/10

For me, If it was a fraction dimmer I'd give it a 9/10.

If customer service was good 10/10.

I like mini version but those CR123A are spendy.
