I know your feeling of "could touch, but didn't" Sort of a respect thing when such

a huge creature trusts enough to come that close....
 
Today a marine biologist was tellling me that the whale shark was probably disappointed that we didn't touch. He says they actually like the contact as they don't get it all that often. (I'm not convinced he is right, but that's what he says.)
