Hello, I'm new to this forum but not to diving. I have been diving in beautiful Cozumel several times, but not recently. I'd like to take a diver and a non diver there in August 2025. So I am thinking that I need a nice hotel with a beach, but want it close enough to get to town. (is the town still fun?) I did the whale shark snorkel about 10-15 years ago, and want to do that again with my family for sure. From what I can research, I need to take the ferry back to Playa del Carmen to get a whale shark trip. Somewhere I saw a departure from Cozumel, but can't find it again. Any help on picking a resort/ or whale shark trip? Thanks in advance.

I've stayed at the Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa several times (although not recently). Really liked the setup and we were picked up by the dive boat at the resort. Great for non-divers.

Blue H2o Cozumel does daily whale shark tours from Cozumel June 1 to Sept 17. You will meet the Blue H2o guide at 630am and then go on the 7am ferry. Leaving a bit later usually has less boats when out in the whale shark area. Blue H2o Cozumel - Whale Shark Tours Mexico
