Updated - AFM continues search for divers reportedly in difficulty - timesofmalta.com
The Armed Forces of Malta said this afternoon that it was continuing its search for two divers who reportedly encountered difficulties between Marsalforn and Ramla l-Hamra in Gozo.
The AFM has deployed an Alouette helicopter and an AB212 helicopter of the Italian Military Mission as well as a dinghy.
The AFM said its Rescue Coordination Centre was notified by a person near San Blas Bay that he had noticed a diver pointing towards a location and blowing his whistle.
A search of the area had so far yielded no result.
The police are questioning the man to establish the facts of the case. They said they are in contact wiht diving centres to confirm that all divers returned. No missing persons report has been filed so far.
