hi

I bought a tuxing TXEDM043 (like the HPDAVV)

Seem build by

Shanghai Royal Machinery

A clone of bauer

I done a air testing

Pass the test without issue.

Paid with delivery less than 2500 usd
Delivery took around 2 week

Get this connector to fill bottle... don't work fine because of the little pin on the din. This kind of connector seem used in europe.
A lot of discution to get the correct connector

Blue cover are plastic, probably in iron for bauer?

Another strange thing was electricity.

A standard 120v usa outlet provide 15Amp, some 20Amp.

I had 10 AWG wire size. With a break 20Amp sometime breaker fail when compressor start (not after). With a 25 Amp no issue).
Wire of the compressor is huge

Filter, don't know if a bauer could fit

Around 25 min to fill 80ft cylinder (with 200 psi).
I use it mostly anyway to fill ccr cylinder.

Used less then 2 hours, I use actually mineral oil who was provided with compressor.

I'm checking to maybe switch to synthetic oil. Do i would need to clean all the compressor to do it?

In canada i found
MOBIL RARUS 827

otherwise,

in mineral oil
Jordair J-EP65 Oil

any suggestion to get oil anywere in canada? (would prefer quebec province)

I use a manual carbon monoxyde meter.

How do you like this unit?

3 hp is a lot to pull from a 120v plug.
I run my uttlis on 220v with a vfd, 3 HP

Did you try starting it with the bleeds open?

If the quality is decent and it can use Bauer parts that would be a really nice home machine.

Looks just like a (my) Bauer....

Curious the future. Looks interesting.

and you would buy a second compressor for spares before you forked out for anything bauer

but this one parts here the seat you need every couple of years from wherever you can get it

the company that built the compressor

A plain copy of a Bauer Junior II.

I'm thinking about buying one of these clone compressors. What's your experience with it? Does it work well? Can I use the original Junior II spare parts?

Not surprised that it pops the breaker. The plate clearly states it draws 27A, which is probably its inrush surge current at startup. It only works on a 25A breaker because they are tolerant of some inrush.

That's an uncommonly high current rating for a 110/120 VAC circuit. I'd have expected that to be wound for 220/240 VAC. Your best and safest approach is to power it from one phase of a 220/240 outlet that has the neutral (white) wire running to it, such as many dryer and oven outlets. Those are commonly breakered for 30A or more and would tolerate this load.

happy with it, no issue better it think to get the 220 60hz version...

can't say if you can take bauer sapre part... but it's easy to get part from tuxing
