This is probably no help to you at all, but all I know is that the algorithms for a first dive are much less conservative than a Scubapro computer. However, on repetitive dives, the NDLs are much more in line with each other.

IQ700 uses Buhlmann

Suunto uses RGBM

They're pretty close. Buhlmann can be a little more conservative when using a deco program. I'm not sure how it compares to the Suunto, though.

I've compared computers when diving with Suunto divers and the Iq700 and Suunto are very close (within one or two minutes). Note that I have my computer adjusted to Safety Factor 1 as this aligns in with the RDP + 10 fsw for cold water.

Is there an easy way to get the IQ700 out of the console w/o having to pry it out?
Thanks!

I haven't seen it in that set up, but if it's like most consoles, it shouldn't be too difficult. Pull the spg out first by grasping the hose in one hand and the compass end of the console in the other. You should be able to bend the console enough to pull the spg out. Then just push the computer out of the console. BTW, the spg will be easier to put back in than it is taking it out.

I had a 2 pod console at first (don't even ask why) and I got it out of there pretty easy :)

YMMV

Thanks, sounds easy enough. I used to be able to get my Suunto Companion out w/o having to take out the SPG but not on this one. :D
