I am envious of your trip! About 10 years ago I bailed on a trip I had booked because the girlfriend/dive buddy and I broke up before the trip. I suppose I could have gone solo but didn't. Enjoy!

As for the Customs advice on their web site, that's pretty funny. If I read it correctly, they're referring to the possibility of US Customs trying to accuse you of having bought your electronics or watches in Belize. I don't think Belize is any more renowned for duty-free shopping than many other places in the Caribbean.

And don't tip anyone. Just kidding.

I'm really looking forward to reading your trip report. Have been considering a stay out there for quite a while. I believe you'll be happy with the dives but also hoping the resort gets a thumbs up.
