turks and caicos where to stay??

We decided to choose Turks and Caicos for our January diving destination.
That was the easy part..
We would really appreciate hotels recommendations . We HATE all inclusives
but appreciate comfort and friendly service in a hotel.
We will most probably dive with Caicos adventures

What is your budget? The options range from budget (Comfort Suites) to super-luxury (Grace Bay Club, Point Grace, etc.). The island is heavily weighted towards luxury.

We have a medium to high budget , we prefer quality diving over luxury hotels.
We absolutely don't like "all inclusives " but appreciate a nice beach and good food.

We haven't made it to T&C yet, but when that was an 'alternate' destination for us a few years back, I did a bit of correspondence with Coral Gardens - you might check them out.

I highly recommend renting a villa on Provo. There are enough great restaurants to make it convenient to eat somewhere different every night. We usually buy groceries and make our own breakfast and lunch and eat out the rest of the time. If you really want a ritzy joint then check out Grace Bay Club, the Renaissance and Point Grace for luxe accommodations right on Grace Bay Beach. I can highly reccommend all three.

I stayed there during my trip in July, Fifi from Caicos Adventures
lives there and a lot of divers who dove with CA stayed there....
we had no complaints except for the $8 charge to go to the grocery
store...all the rooms have a kitchen and there is a restaurant
on site as well as a convenience store...so you can choose
how you want to do your meals...
