Blue Lagoon (Green Latrine?) or Mammoth Lake for those of us in the Houston area?

How about Twin Lakes in the Houston area?

Let's say then ...

Lake Travis - South/West Texas
Clear Springs Scuba Park- North Texas
Lake Murray- East Texas

Does that sound good or should we add in one more?

I would add Mammoth Lake once it opens I think it will be a neat place to dive

As a general supporter of Texas diving I could agree to any of these spots......Although Lake Murray being a nice dive spot and in my home state of Oklahoma it just does not seem an ideal location for a Texas based SB sub forum group to have a dive gathering. I would do my best to attend a TSD June day dive outing.

And I was going to add Arkansas to the pot (pond) if OK was included. Seriously though, In lieu of CSSP, Tyler State park affords some nice camping for those that want to make a weekend of it.

I agree it should be a purely Texas dive spot event. I was just trying accommodate.

Anyone for Balmorhea???????

Does that sound good??

I think Mammoth Lake will be a good southern location but the place has not opened yet so I wouldn't make it official. There really isn't any good non scuba park site down here except offshore and that probably is not conducive to this kind of event.

Some of our fine lakes are already Green ( in fact most are) so why all the fuss ?

Ok.......
Lets bring in 200 to 300 folks and, as our friend Jessie Jackson likes to
say, "TV Cameras" for the devine intervention of hope and love.
They will all drive they're cars to the place, They party and talk of peace and a world free of trash, human waist and then go collect a few old beer cans as they dive.

Shoot.. if all that makes you feel good well then by all means have at it.
Feeling good is what America is all about.
Bringing in a bunch of humans can only disrurb things from the True Green point of view.

I'll watch the thread to see where everybody goes and wait a week or two for the lakes to settle out after folks leave.

Oh Frank there you, I was just starting to miss you.....

I bet Frank would show up if Kunk35 and I brought the circus tent, and *special* brownies! I can't seem to find Kory's star spangled banner suit though, would red, white, and blue spandex shorts do the trick?? :rofl3:

Seriously though, if I can't vote for Murray, I vote for CSSP then.:D
