*sigh*.....SO, I sit here trying to decide if I am packing my gear. Supposed to arrive Saturday and am coming home Tues. Quick 2 1/2 day trip......weather looks like rain. Rain I can deal with....but can anyone with experience on the island during TS give me an idea what to expect? Port Closure? Should I just postpone for two weeks? Gimme your thoughts.

I've been watching the forecast, and it looks like that will be a very rainy period. They think the wind shear will delay full development into a tropical depression until the weekend or early next week, either near the yucatan or in the southern gulf of mexico. Either way, they say there will be substantial rainfall associated with the system.

I have limited experience diving Cozumel, so I'm not positive what the conditions are like during periods of heavy rain. (Would you believe I've not yet experienced a rainy day while diving CZM???) IF IT WERE ME (famous last words) I'd delay for a couple weeks if the costs were not great. Otherwise, hang in there and make the most of it...

Wow. I'm looking at the satellite loops and the Caribbean analysis. I'm not sure you're going to have a problem due to the storm. My bet is that it's going to go south of CZM or just dissipate.

I know my last visit had thunderstorms forecasted every day. Guess how many we had during the visit.
