Bottom Temp - 64

Well, it was the nicest day we have had here in a while andwhat better way to enjoy it, by spearfishing! Good ol’ weather man was calling for 1-2ft seas, sunny and a wee bit onthe chilly side! Arrived to the site around 11am with 10-15kt winds and solid2-3ft seas, not too bad at all!

Once there we decided to toss a buoy on thesite and thought everything was gravy. Well, one of my friends decided to change the line out on my buoy from ablack line to white line (easier to see it). He assured me it was 150ft of line on there, well he was mistaken! Therewas only 90ft of line, if that! So, after tossing it and waiting for the diversto gear up I realized the buoy is just cruising with the current (my fault fornot paying attention ;)). Once we chasedit down and grabbed it, we headed back to the wreck and everyone splashed!

After two somewhat chilly dives, the total catch for the daywas 2 nice sized AJ’s and 1 Black Snapper. Was too dang cold to stay down any longer!

Anyhoo, a great day on the water! Thought I’d share thetrips adventures! Hopefully the seas calm down and the rain goes away!

Cheers,
Capt. Brandon
