Fast Cat Ferry Service
Fast Cats Ferry Service introduces its ultra high-speed ferry service. The PurrSeaverance is operating daily from the Doubletree Grand in Miami to Key West and Islamorada. Please email for rates, schedules, and information. www.fastcats.org
It "was" the PurrSeaverance, which is now apparantly running as a Casino shuttle. Oh well. I guess their ferry operation went belly up. http://www.fastcats.org/
Also found this. http://www.livableoldtown.com/number_of_ferries_doubling.htm
The 149-passenger PurrSeaverance out of Miami has had a rough time making its first trip to Key West, its first delay coming when it failed to pass its initial U.S. Coast Guard testing due to a paperwork technicality.
Ready to launch again in time for Fantasy Fest in late October, the ferry then ran aground while conducting sea trials near the Port of Miami. The line was again delayed last month as it worked on "getting the bugs out" of the prototype vessel.
The PurrSeaverance, run by the Fast Cats ferry line, should make the trip from Miami to Key West in three and a half hours.
Check out the picture of where they "ran it aground" hard here
Sure is a nice boat to be running casino shuttle. heh...
