Any other special tricks to do while using a tool like this? Anything to pay special attention too?

What do you use to open your computer battery door? I just saw a coin shaped screw driver (below) which made me wonder what everyone uses to prevent door damage.

This screw driver is crazy expensive as compared to regular screw drivers. But, if it prevented damaging a battery door then it could be of value. Or make your own?

Jeez Louise, with a large shorty blade screwdriver from Harbor Freight (or the dollar store!) and a bench grinder and maybe five minutes you could have one of these for...I dunno...maybe two bucks?

The same goes for those "special" screwdrivers for valve knobs. Get the right size screwdriver, and notch it with a circular file or a cutoff wheel on a grinder. (I did the latter. 20 seconds required, tops. It takes longer to take off whatever was on the grinder and put the cutoff wheel on it.)

The best way to avoid battery door damage is to not overtighten it. Just barely snug it up.

If it has a coin slot, clamp which ever coin fits properly in a visegrip plier. Hold the visegrip down by the jaws as you turn. If it's too tight stop before you break it, take it to the dive shop and let them break it.

If you want to spend more money get one of these:
