Down4fun highlighted some interesting ideas about deco in the thread regarding the Cayman dives, and Im not sure any instructor or experienced tech diver would have been able to offer the same advice. And even if there were a few out there that could highlight that information, what are my chances of ending up learning from them? Probably low.

Well Kim's post was interesting I am not sure its all that earth shattering to go from 30/85 and bubbling to 20/70 and less bubbling. Or that Buhlmann with 30/85 GFs is basically VPM+2 while Buhlmann with 20/70 is more like VPM+3 I mean seriously there are so many partially overlapping opinions in tech diving you really just need to go diving to figure out what works for you. Oh and you'll probably get bent deal with it :)

certainly not earth shattering to have less bubbling with a more conservative approach. I guess what was interesting and educational for me, was the amount of bubbling I had using what is a standard, from the factory gradient. I'm no triathlete, but i eat right, do three hours of cardio per week, and generally try to be healthy, don't smoke, don't drink, etc. I was surprised at the amount of bubbling I had. I expected to be much cleaner than I was at the start of the study. The truth is, I never had any symptoms at 30/85 and the change in gradient factors has added time to my hang. Was no big deal in the cayman's with 83 degree water. However...I was hating it coming up from a 220 foot dive sunday when the water was an unexpected 50 at the bottom. Staying warm thru that extra deco was a challenge and made me wish i was back on the old GF and getting out of the water. (hijack over)

There are a few threads in this section that provoke conversation. For the most part, I think we all have our own circle of peers that we turn to, rather than the boards. And to be honest, even in this section I fear responses will be harsh and keep to myself mostly.

Quantity has nothing to do with quality

How many of my posts have you read? Look through them before you start discussing the quality in which I post. ;) In the meantime, continue feeling ass-hurt because of another stupid helmet thread ;)

You haven't even dove the Devil's system and you get on here posing as a cave diver, GTFO.

No lost love here. I know how to filter. Your arrogance is your shortcoming, not my problem

How odd ... I met Mr. Bugman (or as his friends call him "Mayhem") at the NSS conference, and he didn't strike me as arrogant in the least. In fact, the dude was pretty friendly to this relative cave newbie.

Not sure what this is all about, but perhaps a private conversation between the two of you would have a better shot at a constructive outcome ...

Personal taste, perhaps ... but after diving the caves in Marianna, I may never go back to Ginnie ...

The Bugman has always been friendly each time I've run into him and I AM a cave newbie.

I'll just stay in the dark with you Bob and let them have their private conversation. :D

Sure I have, firehose on the Econfina right?

All real cave divers have been to Ginnie. Bugman is clearly a total newb. He should take a hike!

Oh THAT DEVILS!?! I'm taking baby steps, I hear there's alotta flow there and visibility can sometime drop to 50'... I don't know if I'm ready for that!

;) Don't take the internet too seriously and learn to roll with the punches. Nothing on here is personal.
